1 SCOPE
This Standard specifies the terms, definitions and test procedures for the protection of the occupants of the front outboard seats in the event of a frontal collision.
This Standard applies to the vehicles of category M1, and category N1 of a total permissible mass not exceeding 2,500 kg, as well as multipurpose goods vehicles;

3 TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this standard, the terms and definitions given in GB/T 20913-2007 and the followings apply.
3.1
保护系统protective system
用来约束乘员的内部安装部件及装置。
3.2
保护系统的型式type of protective system
在下列主要方面没有差异的保护装置：
一一制造工艺技术；
一一尺寸；
一一材料。
3.3
碰撞角angle of impact
垂直于壁障前表面的直线与车辆纵向行进方向线之间的夹角。
3.4
壁障表面barrier face
壁障紧贴着胶合板的那一部分表面。
3.5
车辆型式vehicle type
在下列主要方面没有差异的车辆：
一一对碰撞试验结果有不利影响的车辆长度和宽度；
一一对碰撞试验结果有不利影响的，通过驾驶员座椅“R”点的横向平面前方的车辆部分的结构、尺寸、轮廓和材料；
一一对碰撞试验结果有不利影响的乘员舱外形和内部尺寸以及保护系统的型式；
一一发动机的布置（前置、后置或中置）及排列方向（横向或纵向）；
一一对碰撞试验结果有不利影响的车辆整备质量；
对碰撞试验结果有不利影响的，由制造厂提供的选装设备或装置。
3.6
乘员舱passenger compartment
容纳乘员的空间，由顶盖、地板、侧围、车门、玻璃窗和前围、后围或后座椅靠背支撑板围成。
3.7
R点R point
制造厂为每个座椅规定的，与车辆结构相关的基准点。
3.8
H点H point
依照附录A描述的程序所确定的每个座椅的基准点。
3.9
整备质量unladen kerb mass
处于运行状态的车辆质量，没有驾驶员、乘客和货物，但燃油箱加入占总容量90%的燃料，并带有随车工具和备胎（如果这些由车辆制造厂作为标准装备提供）。
3.10
多用途货车multipurpose goods vehicle
其设计和结构上主要用于载运货物，具有长头车身和驾驶室结构（一半以上的发动机长度位于车辆前风窗玻璃最前点以前，或转向盘的中心位于车辆总长的前1/4部分之后），具有敞开式货车车厢，乘客人数不大于5人（含驾驶员），最大设计总质量不大于3 500 kg的货车。
