There is a televisionin the living room.
[有一台电视在客厅里。]
一、There be
①There is在这里 =“存在”的意思，即中文常说的“有”。因此there is可以表示“……地方有……”。在上面句中“有一台电视机”，就可以看成是“客厅里有一台电视机”的意思。另外，既然There is是用be动词is，当然后面就要接单数名词television。
二、重点
①There is＝“存在”的意思，后面要加单数名词。
②句子1：有一只鸟在你的书桌上。
-> 英文：存在＋一只鸟＋在你的书桌上
-> = ＝There is a bird on your desk.（√）
常见错误：There is a bird is on your desk.（X）
注意：一个句子只能有一个动词，所以第2个is不能写。
③句子2：有一只鸟在你的书桌上吗？
-> 英文：存在＋一只鸟＋在你的书桌上吗
->＝Is there a bird on your desk?（√）
（将is放到句首，就可以形成疑问句。）
④There are表示复数的“存在”，后面要加复数名词。
⑤句子3：有3只猫在我的书桌上。
-> 英文：存在＋3只猫＋在我的书桌上 ＝There are three cats on my desk.（d√）
-> 常见错误：There are three cats are on my desk.（X）
-> 一个句子只能有一个动词，所以第2个are不能写。
⑥句子4：有27只笔在我的书桌上吗？
-> 英文：存在＋27只笔＋在我的书桌上吗
-> ＝Are there twenty-seven pens on my desk?（对）
（将are放到句首，就可以形成疑问句。）
三、数字的用法
①英文数字中hundred算是名词，意思是“一百”。
②hundred虽然是一百的意思，却不需要加s。因此hundred比较像是一个“单位”，用法比较接近“一个一百”“两个一百”这样的说法。如果将200写成是two hundreds，这样写法就是错误的，要特别注意！
③注意hundred的用法：
100＝one hundred＝一个“一百”（hundred不用加s）
200＝two hundred＝两个“一百”（hundred不用加s）

7）有一个年轻人在你的房子里。
-> There is a young person in your house.
8）有一个年轻人在你的房子里吗？
-> Is there a young person in your house?
9）有一个婴儿在他们的房间里。
-> There is a baby in their room.
10）有一个婴儿在他们的房间里吗？
-> Is there a baby in their room?
11）有3本书在你的书桌上。
-> There are three books on your desk.
12）有3本书在你的书桌上吗？
-> Are there three books on your desk?
13）有16只猫在我们的餐桌上。
-> There are sixteen cats on our table.
14）有16只猫在我们的餐桌上吗？
-> Are there sixteen cats on our table?
15）有47个年轻人在你的房子里。
-> There are forty-seven young persons in your house.
16）有47个年轻人在你的房子里吗？
-> Are there forty-seven young persons in your house?
17）有89个鸡蛋在他们的厨房里。
-> There are eighty-nine eggs in their kitchen.
18）有89个鸡蛋在他们的厨房里吗？
-> Are there eighty-nine eggs in their kitchen?
19）有115只狗在你的花园里。
-> There are one hundred and fifteen dogs in your garden.
20）有115只狗在你的花园里吗？
-> Are there one hundred and fifteen dogs in yourgarden?
